Paganese-Catania was a very interesting match between two teams that have fought for all ninety minutes for the final victory. Unfortunately, despite his numerical superiority, Catania was not able to score and to pick up the win, due to the abilities of Paganese’s goalkeeper Paolo Baiocco, who has distinguished himself as the best player of the match, together with the match winner Abou Diop.
In the first minutes of the game, rossazzurri try to stand up and shooting with Ceccarelli and Provenzano, but without obtaining positive results and the hosts show up in Stancampiano’s area with Schiavi, Tissone and Castaldo, but the goalkeeper makes good guard, keeping the partial result of 0-0.
In the second half, Catania had a more decisive impact on the match, creating a great amount of dangerous occasions like the wasted one by Sipos who was face to face with Baiocco, this one will save a penalty ten minutes later giving courage to his teammates, in fact, the decisive goal comes around the 69′ minute of the game thanks to a sniper shot made by Abou Diop becoming the match winner, giving three points to the azzurrostellato team.
We can define this match as a wasted occasion to win for the rossazzurri that had the possibility to close the match with the missed penalty and especially with the numerical superiority. Carry on… and let’s focus on the next game.
