“Waiting for Godot” is an important play made by Samuel Beckett belonging to the literary genre of the theatre of absurd. This is a drama that prompts many questions, and answers none of them; this drama is all about the waiting, yes, waiting for someone who never appears, it is a sort of expectation extremely related to the salvation.
This play largely reflects the current situation that we are living, this is the reason why I chose to compare Catania’s circumstances to Samuel Beckett’s tragicomedy. It is still an exhausting waiting for the entire fanbase, because this one strongly awaits to understand and to know something about the future of the team. Knowing the unknown is impossible, for this reason, Catania and all its supporters want certainty about future corporate plans, in order to ensure the economic continuity for the team.
Mr Joe Tacopina has always been considered as the possible savior of the club, in fact, through his economic effort there could be a glorious future for the club, and also there could be an important recovery plan. Unfortunately the whole thing has not yet become a reality due to past mishaps.
Does SIGI have the possibilities to safeguard, to protect and to save our glorious club? The question is legitimate since there will be important administrative obligations to be fulfilled.
Let’s wait, hoping for a different ending compared to Beckett’s masterpiece.
