This will be the umpteenth hot summer for Calcio Catania and for its fanbase; debts, deadlines, courts, entrepreneurs and so on, will characterize the daily routine of everyone of us.
Currently, we are in a sort of limbo, since we are fighting between life and death, in fact the future of our club is more uncertain than ever. We have to highlight two important dates that will decide the future of Catania:
- Monday, 28th of June
- Monday, 5th of July
The first one represents a fundamental deadline, because not later than that date, SIGI should guarantee the registration for the next tournament, SIGI should have already paid 350 thousand of euro in order to provide a surety, and also this owner society should resolve the debt restructuring with the Revenue Agency of Palermo after the resolution with the Municipality of Mascalucia which accepted the extension of debts.
The second date is essential because on that day the request for preservation of up to 3 million of euro against Calcio Catania S.p.A. will be discussed; this request, lodged at the Court of Catania, comes from the Administration of Catania Servizi srl which failed last September and managed the Sports Centre of Torre del Grifo. If the Court of Catania will grant this request, the troubles for SIGI and Calcio Catania would become insurmountable.
