June has been a very hard month for Calcio Catania and for its supporters, who have contributed to the registration of the club to the next championship thanks to an incredible fund-raiser which has totaled an amount equal to one hundred thousand of euro; now the fanbase and SIGI are waiting for the opinion of the Co.vi.Soc the 8th of July.
New month, new goals for sure, first of all it is important to build a competitive team, since in the next tournament there will be some important and historic clubs like ACR Messina, Taranto, Pescara, Palermo, Catanzaro, Foggia, Avellino and so on…
Maurizio Pellegrino, recently confirmed as head of the technical area of Calcio Catania, talked about the current purchasing power of the club: “Our economic resources do not allow us to make promises on possible prestigious goals, but we will do everything to set up a competitive team“.
Pre-season will start in mid-July in the sports center of Torre del Grifo, all training sessions will be probably directed by Francesco Baldini who expressed his opinions according to La Sicilia: “I have always said that coaching Catania is an honor, but also a responsibility. I would like to start from the beginning in order to focus on technical and human aspects. Someone called me crazy, but I have my own ideas, I lived in Catania and I know what I found“.
